During this tour, led by your AGT guide, you will become acquainted with the more remarkable personalities of the Medici, their lives and their secrets, as you explore the multicoloured Medici quarter. The tour includes Palazzo Medici, the splendid residence of Cosimo the Elder and the Magnificent Lorenzo, in which young Michelangelo was invited to grow up, as well as the Basilica of San Lorenzo designed by Brunelleschi. The walk includes a visit to the Basilica of San Lorenzo, the Palazzo Medici and a visit to one or more than one of the more notable Medici sites.
Museum: The Basilica of San Lorenzo – One of the most beautiful churches in Florence, given Renaissance lines by Filippo Brunelleschi, which contains great works of art, like the bronze pulpits by Donatello. The Old Vestry contains works by Donatello and Verrocchio and Medici tombs. It is flanked by the magnificent cloister and the entrance to the crypt with the tombs of Donatello and Cosimo the Elder, as well as the Laurentian Library, an architectural jewel by Michelangelo and his followers.
