Visit the Medici Villa of Cerreto Guidi to discover its history and its imposing architecture. It was built in 1576 by Buontalenti for Cosimo I, overlooking the citadel and is remarkable because of the massive ramps, known as “Medici bridges”. The daughter of the grand-duke, Isabella de’ Medici died there. After belonging to private owners, it was donated to the State and is now the site of the Museum of Hunting and the Territory. It is linked by a picturesque walkway to the parish church of San Leonardo.
